Edge Types
Edges connect ideas. They can be simple straight lines or editable paths you adjust after drawing.
- Basic edge: Default connector for most nodes. Click a handle, drag to another node, and release to create a clean line.
- Editable edge: Lets you drag segments, add or remove bend points, and reroute lines to avoid overlaps.
- Arrow styling: Choose arrowheads and colors to highlight direction or status.
- Connecting tips:
- Start from visible handles on nodes (some shapes expose multiple anchor points).
- If you miss a handle, you can reconnect an existing edge by dragging its endpoint.
- Use editable edges for dense diagrams so you can shape paths around other nodes.
- Workflow rules: When you drag tasks between columns on Kanban, the app checks whether the status change is allowed. If not, you’ll get an error toast and the card stays put.
Remember: edges follow your zoom/pan and are part of undo/redo history, so you can safely experiment with routes.
