Kanban
Kanban organizes tasks into columns that mirror your workflow scheme.
- Create a board: Open Kanban from the canvas menu. Columns are auto-created from the active workflow statuses, and a sample task appears to show the layout.
- Columns: Add, rename, reorder, or remove columns. You can set WIP limits and scope a board to specific projects, assignees, epics, or statuses if you want a focused view.
- Drag cards: Move tasks within a column to reorder them or across columns to change status. If a transition isn’t allowed by the workflow, you’ll see an error and the card won’t move.
- Board position: The board opens where you clicked on the canvas, so multiple boards can live in different spots. You can drag the board itself to reposition it.
- Hydrate from tasks: If tasks already have statuses, the board fills columns automatically when opened.
Use Kanban for day-to-day execution, then switch to backlog or roadmap when you need planning views; all three share the same task data.
