Node Types

Nodes are the building blocks on the canvas. You can mix them freely to map ideas, content, and structure.

  • Mind Map: Rich-text bubbles that grow with Tab (add child) and Enter (add sibling). You can set background color, border style, and even add background images to a node.
  • Text: Lightweight text cards. Double-click to edit in place, resize to fit, and choose transparent or colored backgrounds.
  • Sticky: Colored sticky notes for quick thoughts. Ideal for ideation sessions.
  • Shapes & Diagrams: Basic shapes (rectangle, circle, diamond) and diagram blocks with labeled connection points for flowcharts or decision trees.
  • Frame Tool: Draw large frames to group content and prepare slides. Frames appear in the frames panel for presentation flow.
  • Comment: Comment balloons anchored to spots on the canvas; open to read replies or resolve.
  • Voting: Simple voting cards to collect quick reactions during workshops.
  • Code Block: Paste and view formatted code snippets with language highlighting.
  • Document: Full-page rich document nodes; open them in full-screen to edit comfortably.
  • Grid: Grid-based layout blocks to experiment with table-like content or card collections.
  • Arrow: Freeform arrows for directional emphasis; customize arrowheads and colors.
  • Pen & Highlighter: Saved drawings as nodes—useful for keeping a sketch in place after you leave pen mode.
  • Organization Chart: Hierarchy cards to map teams or roles.
  • Ghost: Lightweight placeholders used as guides before finalizing layout.

Tip: Drop a frame, add mind map nodes inside, connect them with arrows, then pin a document or code block next to them for richer context.
